Bible Reading Sunday: 21st March 2021

WATER: This is a slightly delayed Sunday reading - we apologise for this being late! This passage is about Jesus being the living water to those who seek him, quenching the thirst of those who take on the living water. Below is John 4:13-14 however feel free to take some time to read the whole of John 4 for yourself:

Jesus said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but those who drink of the water that I will give them will never be thirsty. The water that I will give will become in them a spring of water gushing up to eternal life.”

Media Monday: 22nd  March 2021

WATER: For Media Monday this week, we would like to show what water made us think of. This photo was taken in the Norwegian Fjords in 2018, and the sheer power and strength of the water was so overwhelming. Such is the overwhelming and limitless power and love of God. Show us what comes to mind for you when you hear the word water! #nctmlent21 #lent

Tune Tuesday Week 5 Water.mp4

Tune Tuesday:  23rd March 2021

WATER: This week God is keeping us super busy, and we are very thankful for it. We do apologise that our posts have been a little behind schedule though! For this week’s Tune Tuesday we have chosen “Living Water” by Gateway Worship. Feel free to find the whole song to listen to as it really is beautiful, or simply watch our video we have put together and allow the images and melody to wash over you as you spend time with God #ntcmlent21 #lent

Wild Wednesday: 24th March 2021

WATER: Wild Wednesday. Our theme this week is water. God provides us with the living water, yet have you noticed how calming and all encompassing the simple, beautiful sound of water can be? Think of waves lapping against the beach, a gentle fountain in a garden or a babbling brook flowing past. Our task for you is to find a waterfall, stream or some type of flowing water, and take some time (at least 1 minute) to stand in silence by the water, listening to the comforting sounds of nature bringing you closer to God in your thoughts #nctmlent21 #lent

Craft Thursday: 25th March 2021

WATER: Craft Thursday - this week we are making a poetry/reading river! You will need: a piece of white paper, coloured pens, a piece of stone coloured card (you choose!), scissors, glue, a pen and a pencil.

Step 1: draw a wiggly river shape diagonally from corner to corner on your paper.

Step 2: colour it in - don’t worry if it is messy as it will look like the water is flowing!

Step 3: draw a few stone shapes on your coloured card in various sizes.

Step 4: carefully cut out using scissors

Step 5: choose a relevant bible passage or poem (we used John 7:38) and write these words across your cut out stones

Step 6: place them along your river and stick down

Step 7: add any fine details you want, such as ripples in the wave and reeds beside the river. If you want to collect a few small sticks and stones from outside and stick them on for more authenticity you can do that too! Make it your own.

Feel free to send pictures of your finished work to us! #nctmlent21 #lent

Food Friday: 26th March 2021

WATER: Food Friday! Our options for cooking something delicious with water as the main ingredient were pretty thin on the ground... therefore we have found a recipe in a mug for you to try! We hope you enjoy trying this simple French Toast recipe out at home #nctmlent21 #lent
